He is the team leader of “National Distance Education of New Curriculum Project”, “Teacher Training Programme for Primary and Secondary Teachers in Rural Area of Western China” and “Student’s Academic Achievement Evaluation”.

Short CV: Liu Jian was born in Jiangsu, 1964. In 1984 he graduated from the School of Mathematics, Beijing Normal University. After that he started to work as a teacher in BNU and his work was mainly engaged in math education research, curriculum research and evaluation of educational experiments.  He was involved in several research projects, such as “the Development of China Mathematics Education in the 21st century - Theories and Practices", "Developing Mathematics Curriculum standards", and "the Research of Curriculum Modernization in the Early 21st Century ".
