  Mrs. Zhu Muju

  General Secretary of National Expertise Committee of School Curriculum and Textbook

Mrs. Zhu’s working experience covers: research and development of early childhood education policy; policy research and development on basic education curriculum, teaching materials, teaching, and evaluation.

 

Prof. Tian Huisheng

  Tian Huisheng, male, Han Chinese, born in March 1965, CPC member, Doctor of Education (Ed. D.), researcher, and supervisor of PhD students. He is now the director of Basic Education Curriculum and Textbook Development Center, Ministry of Education.

He studied in Education Department of Northwest Normal University (NWNU) from 1981-1988 and achieved bachelor and master degrees there. He worked in the Institute of Education Science of NWNU from 1988-1994. During the years he completed his PhD study in NWNU from 1988-1991 and accomplished his China-Canada joint training doctoral programs in Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), the University of Toronto, Canada from 1991-1992. He was awarded his PhD degree in year 1992. Since 1994, he was introduced to China National Institute for Education Research (CNIER) and has served successively as dean of Education Experiment Research Center, director assistant, deputy director and deputy principal in CNIER.

Prof. Tian mainly works on education policy, curriculum and teaching, education experiment, basic education reform and the joint training of postgraduate students. He has published over 100 academic papers so far and is the winner of the State Council Special Allowance.

Prof. Tian also holds concurrent posts as director and academic committee member of the Chinese Society of Education(CSE), director of Chinese Association for International Understanding, director-general of CSE Education Experiment Research Branch, part-time professor in Peking University, part-time professor and supervisor of PhD students in Southwest University and Shandong Normal University, adviser of non-higher education curriculum reform and development of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

 

Dr. Li Jiayong

  Dr. Li Jiayong, Associate professor of Education at Beijing Normal University, holds

a Ph.D. in International and Comparative Education. He has been doing teaching, research and administration at Beijing Normal University for more than twenty years. He was the Deputy Director of International and Comparative Education Research Institute (1999-2001), Associate Dean of the School of Education (2001-2007), Academic Registrar of Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (2007-2009). He is currently Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University. Dr. Li is also editing a Journal of Educational Studies published in Beijing. His research interests focus on the studies of curriculum, instruction and assessment from an international perspective.

Dr. Yang Xiangdong

Dr. Yang is an Associate Professor in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at East China Normal University (ECNU). Prior to joining the faculty at ECNU, Dr. Yang was Assistant Professor of Inquiry Methodology, Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University. He also served as Research Associate with the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation (CETE) at the University of Kansas. In these roles, Dr. Yang conducted research and taught courses in the area of psychometrics, quantitative methods, and research design in Education. Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology from University of Kansas. He was the recipient of “the Gulliksen Psychometric Fellow” Award from Educational Testing Service (ETS) at Princeton, New Jersey. Prof.Yang Jiuquan

  Mr. YANG Jiuquan is the director of Research Center for Basic Education Curriculum in NIES, MOE. He mainly works in the areas of curriculum as well as teaching materials, and his representative publications include ‘The Valuing of Modules in Senior High School’, ‘Test Making and Quality Education’, and ‘Evaluation of Policy for Teaching Materials in 2008’ in some key journals like Educational Research. Prof. Liu Jian

  Prof. Liu Jian is now assistant director of Basic Education Curriculum and Textbook Development Center, Ministry of Education, president and editor-in-chief of Basic Education Curriculum magazine, vice chairman of Jiu San Society Central Culture and Education Committee. He is mainly engaged in the research, organization and coordination of school curriculum design, implementation, teaching, examination and evaluation, and teachers' professional development etc. From 1989-1998, he presided over a National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation project —“ 21St Century China Math Education Outlook – Public Mathematics Theory and Practice”, achieved the Second National Youths Philosophy and Social Science Research Excellence Award (the highest award) in year 1997, and the Second National Higher Education Colleges Basic Education Research Outstanding Achievement Award (first place) of Ministry of Education in year 1998. Since 1995, he has been editor-in-chief of New Century Elementary School Mathematics Textbooks (Version 1-4). From 1998-2001, Prof. Liu was the team leader of Compulsory Education National Mathematics Curriculum Standards (Experimental Draft) Development Group. Since 2003, he has co-chaired the project “Establishing Primary and Secondary Schools Study Quality Feedback and Guidance System”, which was awarded 2010 Basic Education Curriculum Reform Excellent Teaching Achievement Award (first place). Prof. Luo Xingkai

  Dr. LUO Xingkai is a professor in College of Physics & Technology and standing director of the MOE Authorized Center for School Curriculum Research & Development at Guangxi Normal University where he has worked for pre-service and in-service science/physics teacher education since 1988. His research interests include scientific inquiry and promoting inquiry-based science learning by improving assessment and teacher education, developing innovative learning resources, especially thought-provoking hands-on experiments, for learning and teaching in science for general and physics for specific.

Because of his long time effective innovations in science/physics teacher education program, Prof. Luo has received many awards and the recent one is the “National Famous Professors Award” by MOE in 2009.

Prof Luo served as a member of ICPE (the International Commission on Physics Education) from 2002 to 2008 and he is curently the vice standing president of the National Association for Science Education in China.

 

Prof. Cui Yunhuo

MR. Tang Jiangpeng

  MR. Tang Jiangpeng was born in ShannXi Province, May, 1963. Tang is the current Headmaster of Jiangsu Xishan Senior High school. High school superior-grade Chinese subject teacher; the first batch provincial professor-level high school teachers in Jiang Su; tutor for the program of the Cultivating well-known teachers and headmasters in Yangtze River Delta and tutor for education-majored postgraduates in Su Zhou University, the professor of the High school Headmaster training center under the command of the education department, as well as one of the members of National Chinese Studies Academic Committee. Mr. Tang was selected as the national labor model in education and was awarded the "people's teacher" medal; In 2009, Mr. Tang was awarded "The most influential High School Headmaster in south-east China".  Tang is in the first batch of the potential educator of the Jiang Su Province People's Educator Program, and he is justifiably chosen as the leader of all the high school headmasters in Jiang Su.

Mr. Tang has published altogether more than 30 dissertations on domestic core magazines. He is also the editor of the official textbook of "Chinese" for junior and senior students as well as over 20 copies of the corresponding reference books. His unique Chinese studies teaching theory "Education through experience and insight" has drawn massive attention within the domestic educational fields. In 2012, his exclusive book "Feeling Through Your Own Experiences" was published. A pioneer in the researching project of "school-based curriculum development", Mr. Tang plays an unexceptionally important role in prevailing this program, which turned out to be awarded the 1st and 2nd prize for the national fundamental education curriculum reform research. His book "Effective and Indefinite Exploring" beyond dispute won the outstanding award in the first fundamental education and teaching reform activity in Jiang Su province.

In 2010, the seminar of "Tang's Education Concept" was convened by the national education department. In June 2011, Mr.Tang's exclusive interview in relation to his education concept and method was held on the very famous talk show"Cui's Interview" on CCTV .

 

Mr.Gao Sicheng

  A senior secondary school teacher and director at Qijiang District Education Administration of Chongqing, Besides, he is Chairman of the Rural County Curriculum Reform Alliance in China. He advocates education for civilian, education for civic literacy, and education for all. In recent years, he has created Qijiang Model, a rural curriculum reform model, which is quite influential in China. His main research project ,Rural County as a Whole to Promote the Study of Classroom Teaching Reform, is awarded first prize by Ministry of Education of China.

Mr.Zhang Xiaoming

 

 Mr. Zhang Xiaoming, a researcher, is the vice president of Heilongjiang Institute of Education. He is the chief expert and leading official of the teaching research and training for teachers and headmasters in elementary education of Heilongjiang province. He studies mainly on teacher’s development and teaching evaluation.

He takes charge of the key research topic on Modeling Multi-dimensionally and Informationizing Enforcement of Classroom Teaching Evaluation for Primary and Secondary Schools. He is the chief editor of both Developing Evaluation in New Course ( 8 books) and Effective Teaching and Harmonious Classroom (net course videos of 19 subjects. He writes 4 monographs and over 60 academic articles. He gets 5 national rewards and 20 provincial rewards in scientific research.

He is the recommending expert for new course training textbooks of the Normal Department of the Education Ministry, the examining-group leader of nationwide primary and secondary school lessons of excellence, vice director of Training Association of Nationwide Primary and Secondary School Headmasters, and the expert group member of the National Basic Education Experimental Cent

Mrs.Zhao Guixia

  Mrs. Zhao Guixia, born in 1965, is the principal of Weifang Guangwen Middle School in Shandong province, the supervisor in Weifang region, the participant of the first Shandong Distinguished Principal Development Project, as well as had the honor of Shandong Education Innovation Person in 2011 and National Education Innovation Distinguished Principal Prize. As the principal of middle school, according to the goal of building a perfect school, she devotes herself to action research on establishment and development of a new school by focusing on constructing Guangwen Curriculum Framework. Moreover, she proposes her appropriate education philosophy and practices continually.

 

Mr.Yu Chao

    I am a senior middle school teachers and work for physics teaching about 15 years in Guangxi Liuzhou. I complete cycle of teaching high school physics for many times. Now I undertake three physics course teaching by the way of teaching benefits teachers as well as students . I have been training a lot of excellent students in this way who entrance Tsinghua university and Beijing university such as 895 and 211 engineering colleges and universities. But I have been thinking about how to innovate teaching classrooms and Jump out of the reality of exams teaching.
